Bulls’ Charlie Graham named Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week

Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Charlie Graham of the Belleville Bulls is the Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending September 28 after posting a 2-0-0-0 record including a shutout victory with a goals-against-average of 0.50 and save percentage of .984.
Graham backstopped the Bulls to a pair of victories making 62 saves in both starts to open the 2014-15 OHL campaign. On Friday night he earned first star honours with a 31-save shutout performance, the fourth of his career, in a big 6-0 road victory against the defending league champion Guelph Storm. In the Bulls’ home opener on Saturday night, Graham stopped 31 shots again and earned second star recognition in a 2-1 win over the visiting Sudbury Wolves.
Graham, a 19-year-old from Toronto, ON, is playing in his fourth OHL season with the Bulls. In 53 games last season, Graham carried a record of 17-24-4-3 with a 3.70 goals-against-average and a .902 save percentage.
Also considered for the award this week was Pittsburgh Penguins prospect Tristan Jarry of the MasterCard Memorial Cup champion Edmonton Oil Kings who posted a 2-0-0-0 record with a goals-against-average of 1.00 and a save percentage of .968. In the QMJHL, Sebastien Auger of the Saint John Sea Dogs went 1-0-0-1 with one shutout carrying a goals-against-average of 1.92 and save percentage of .952.
