Fitzpatrick steady in goal as Canada defeats Finland at WU18

GRAND FORKS, ND – Draft eligible goaltender Evan Fitzpatrick (Sherbrooke Phoenix) made 26 saves to help Canada improve to 4-0 at the 2016 World Under-18 Hockey Championship with a 3-1 win over Finland.
Canada hands Finland its first loss of the tournament with first period goals from Pascal Laberge (Victoriaville Tigres) and David Quenneville (Medicine Hat Tigers).
Sarnia Sting sophomores Jakob Chychrun and Jordan Kyrou each had assists along with Michael McLeod (Mississauga Steelheads) and Mason Shaw (Medicine Hat Tigers).
Canada skated to victory despite being outshot 27-24.
The perfect 4-0 showing in the preliminary round sets up a Quarter-Final matchup against Switzerland on Thursday at 4:45pm ET live on TSN.
