Sportsnet Drops the Puck on Friday Night Hockey, Oct. 12
TORONTO (September 28, 2012) Friday Night Hockey is back!Sportsnet and the Canadian Hockey League today announced the first two weeks of its Friday Night Hockey 2012-13 broadcast schedule, beginning on Friday, Oct. 12 at 9:45 p.m. ET / 6:45 p.m. PT as the reigning Western Hockey League champion Edmonton Oil Kings host the Calgary Hitmen on Sportsnet ONE.
Sportsnet will televise a Canadian Hockey League game every Friday night during the 2012-13 regular season and playoffs. As Canada’s premiere destination for all things CHL, Sportsnet is home to the 2012 SUBWAY Super Series this November, the 2013 Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in Halifax and the 2013 MasterCard Memorial Cup in Saskatoon.
Friday Night Hockey returns to Sportsnet ONE on Friday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT when the reigning Ontario Hockey League champion London Knights host the Erie Otters.
Sportsnet will announce the remaining Friday Night Hockey games for its 2012-13 broadcast schedule on a week by week basis.
